Our staff has spent considerable time researching the most current laser technology available on the market to reduce wrinkles, even texture, repair sun damage, eliminate unwanted hair and other skin imperfections. We chose Cutera® finding it to be the most revolutionary of laser and other light-based aesthetic systems. We believe it demonstrates the greatest results for both resurfacing and rejuvenation procedures and requires less overall recovery time than other laser systems (often “zero” depending on the procedure) .

However, we believe the skill and experience of the practitioner is without doubt as important as the technology. We offer laser treatments for both resurfacing as well as skin rejuvenation. All laser consultations and Pearl™ laser procedures are performed by either Dr. Martin or Dr. Cirillo.

The Pearl™ Skin Resurfacing

The non-ablative Pearl Laser can be used to refresh the skin’s appearance quickly by removing fine lines on the face and neck, uneven skin texture as well as light/dark spots caused by sun damage. During a Pearl treatment, the upper layer of the skin is heated with pulses of light. The heat gently removes a small portion of the top layer of skin, or epidermis, resulting in the formation of a natural protective dressing on the skin’s surface. At the same time, heat is sent into the deeper layers of the skin stimulating new collagen production, as well as filling out and decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Using topical anesthetic, patients are comfortable during the treatment. The skin’s protective dressing will slough off after 3-4 days revealing new, vibrant and healthy skin. New collagen production will continue up to 4 to 6 weeks after treatment maintaining your youthful glow.

Pearl treats the entire face and typically only requires 1 to 2 treatments to achieve the desired result.

Laser Genesis™ Skin Rejuvenation

Laser Genesis is a breakthrough non-ablative photorejuvenation procedure that provides multiple benefits beyond the popular “photo-facial” trend of recent years.

Laser Genesis is a unique non-ablative procedure that promotes healthy looking skin including reduced redness, reduced pore size and improved skin tone and texture. The facial procedure takes about 20 minutes to perform, is painless and creates a gentle warming of the skin. There is no downtime and patients may resume their normal activities that day. This procedure uses a very powerful laser pulse over a millisecond time period that results in the skin’s epidermis laying down new collagen that evens out the texture.

Most patients note a 30 – 50% reduction in pore size and fine lines after a series of 4-5 treatments.

The LimeLight™ Skin Rejuvenation

The LimeLight™ Facial is a procedure superior to the traditional photofacial treatments for skin’s red and brown mottling, irregular or patchy discoloration, dilated blood vessels, rosacea and more, requiring fewer sessions. Virtually any part of your body with sun (a.k.a. “age” or “liver”) spots or freckles can be safely treated. The face, chest, hands, and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they typically have the most sun exposure. Both single, discrete spots and skin densely covered with freckles respond well to treatment. The light delivered with the LimeLight™ procedure is selectively absorbed by the pigmented spots on your skin. The heating of the pigmented cells causes the therapeutic result, effectively destroying the damaged cells.

Most individuals require 3-5 treatments for the best results, however noticeable improvement is often achieved with 1-3 treatments.

CoolGlide™ Laser Hair Removal

The CoolGlide laser can rapidly treat large areas without the limitations of older technologies. Its longer wavelength targets the melanin in the hair follicle and allows it to be used safely and effectively on patients with light or dark skin as well as tanned skin. Hair can be removed from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms, back, chest, areola and bikini line.

The cooled hand piece increases patient comfort and minimizes the adverse skin reaction commonly seen with other lasers. Most treatments take 10-15 minutes; most patients require 3 to 6 treatments for optimal long-term benefits. There is a wide range of possible treatment cycles because of numerous factors that vary per individual. These factors include: metabolism, hormonal levels, hair thickness, area treated and the growth cycle of hair.
